[Chat] What's ya doing?

For now, I am spending allot of time on my yard.
As pointed out in other threads, I am digging up some clay in my yard, to make way for more friendly top soil and plants.

I have allot of digging going on for this. But I am also filling in low spots on my lawn from the digging. My nephew has a dump truck, and is bringing me a load of top soil that will fill in what I dug up, as well as smooth out and provide growing soil for the filling I just did.

Add to that. I am grinding the porch rails, and painting them.
I am painting the porch deck, and the front entry deck.

I am also looking into something to replace the decaying "rail road beams" that is supporting my patio....

I am spending allot of money and time on my property this year.

I'm just kind of vegging today. I made some shelves for my desk at work, put up a screen earlier, will probably reorganize my porch in a bit. Other than that I've been working on the graphic for my business card.

Sometimes I miss having the big punch list from when I first moved in

I dug up weeds and put together a new brick trim around one of my gardens.
I put up four new bird feeders (I've never had one!) so thats fun to see the birds.
I also replanted a couple indoor plants because it got too root bound and wasn't looking so good. I thinned it some and now have a new plant to water also!

You know, those watering globes advertised on TV really work well!

Now you have to take pictures of the birds!!

I managed to have a couple plants make it through the winter (one is three years old that sister wanted to toss after a week) so those went out on the porch last week. I bought a rosemary plant yesterday and potted that too. I also got a mint plant, but I thought it was oregano so now I've got to get oregano too.

I haven't planted anything outside, yet. I will soon! I am just getting it all ready to go, so when I hit the greenhouses, I am ready to go. Window boxes are painted and put up, bags or planting soil are ready to go.... I am excited about how things SHOULD turn out when I am finished.

I put up the bird feeders yesterday. This morning was the first morning to enjoy them, and it was busy. I was drinking my coffee outside and just watching them. The cat hasn't acted on them.... I don't think she will. She just watches them.

Nope, I own it.
I bought it in 1989.

Edit: It's a wonderful "bachelor" pad.
Nice big porch, a nice kitchen. One bathroom, one small spare bedroom, and a nice "loft" bedroom (mine)
It has a beautiful stone fireplace in a large open living room.

I have 1 1/4 acre property, but about 3/4 to mow and care for. The rest is wooded.
