A solid and great firmware upgrade for me.
Looking at printer sharing with 1.31 shareport utility right now, looks a little bit different from before. |

---------- Advanced DNS:
When feature is enabled, your internet traffic will be protected by a security ready DNS server. This feature provides Anti-Phishing to protect your Internet connection from fraud and navigation improvements such as auto-correction of common URL typos.
Note:
When DNS Relay is enabled along with Advanced DNS feature, your workstations on the network that are obtaining an IP address from routers DHCP server will obtain 192.168.0.1 (routers IP address). However, traffic will still be protected.
Although Advanced DNS feature is enabled, DNS IP address of your workstation can still be modified to the DNS server IP you desire. Please note that the router does not dictate the DNS name resolution when DNS IP address is configured on the workstation.
If you selected this option and have VPN or Intranet setup in your network, you can disable Advanced DNS service if you experience connection difficulties. ---------- |

| reply to PamelaTS said by PamelaTS :said by Neblinio :I use north american firmware on my european A2 DIR-655 since version 1.11b39, and I never had a problem. I also have all the 13 wireless channels available, and the firmware correctly states the wireless domain as EU in the "/version.txt" and "/chklst.txt" pages. "1.11b39?" I think you are in fact using a EU not a NA firmware. We only have 11 channels Version 1.11b39 was for north america, it was posted on dlink's FTP more than a year ago, and lasted several months. I have been using north american firmwares since then, and I always had all the 13 channels available. Today I use firmware 1.31. |

| reply to dcurrey I found a bug related to the new GUI authentication, in the 1.31 firmware.
- Log into the UI. - Click on tools - Uncheck the "Enable Graphical Authentication" box. - Select Reboot later Now let the session time out or close the web browser, or log out of the d-link UI. When you try to log back in, the graphical authentication will no longer be visible, but when you try to log in you will get errors that need fill in the graphical auth info in the box.
Work around: unplug and replug in the router to reboot it. Not hard for me to figure out a workaround for, but it could cause some people a lot of head pain. |

| reply to dcurrey I applied 1.31 last night to my DIR-655 A3, upgrading from 1.21 in the process, and... it killed the router. Well, more specifically, every time my DIR-655 establishes a connection to my ISP (it goes through a 2wire 2701HG-B DSL modem set in bridge mode) the DIR-655 will reboot. Every. Single. Time. I've had to remove it from my network, and now I'm getting by with the wireless features of the 2wire DSL modem.
Any suggestions? |

@bellsouth.net | Yes, I used the 30/30/30 method when upgrading, and many times after installing 1.31. |

Did anyone try the 3G option in 1.31?
I have a 3G USB stick that might be useful if the my cable goes down. I really hope they didn't remove that feature for sharepoint! |

If you are using 1.21 or lower, you should upgrade. Just disable SecureSpot, its useless for most people. |

My impression is you probably want to upgrade to 1.22B05 but I'm not so sure you would want to upgrade to 1.31! I haven't seen any major improvements documented for it in the definitely appears to be some drawbacks. I think it needs more time to settle out before everyone starts jumping to it! |
