I'm sorry to see CallVantage go too. I've signed up for PhonePower based on my experiences with Ari and Jim who ran DSLExtreme.
U-verse voice is available to me (finally) but I don't see good reason to pay more for less service. With all of this capping nonsense going on I want to make sure my ISP is easily changed. I've also read way too many reports of issues with caller ID and voice quality issues. At least with Time Warner VOIP, the line was better than POTS quality (could even maintain reliable 56k modem connections) which helped justify the additional cost.
