i have a desktop and thinking of going wireless so that i can go online with my play station 3 do i need a wireless card in my desktop or can i hard wire it. and still go wireless with my playstation. the router iv'e got is a netgear modelwgr614v9. i am on virginmedia.

What would be the purpose of going wireless exactly? The WGR614 has four available LAN ports for a wired connection.

If it's a matter of location and it would be difficult to run a wire to the PS3, you would want to setup a wireless bridge between the PS3 and the router.

I'm going to ask that this be moved to the Netgear forum as well.
