Problems with Netgear FVS318 VPN Router

Hey all.. hoping you could help me out with this issue I'm having.

Okay, so this all started when I was requested by my company to go and replace a VPN router that I had installed for a small company nearby where I live. I had previously installed a lunksys vpn router for them to use for their local network in the office, as well as to VPN to their single alternate office in another city.
When one of the techs attempted to setup their VPN he found he was unable to get it working (between a FVS318 and a Linksys *** can't recall model). So he instructed me to go out and get the same router, a netgear 318, install it at the office, and then we could complete the VPN setup.

Fast forward to today, and I am having issues with the router. Seemingly everything is set properly, I have installed the router, connected up all the ethernet cables needed, performed the initial setup that the router does, updated the firmware to the newest, and made sure that the MAC of the router is registerred with Telus. They have internet connectivity and their shared links are all up and running and working fine.
The problem is that seemingly each morning their connectivity simply dies out. No internet, no simply accounting, anything relating to the LAN/WAN basically just stops. According to people that work there, there is no indication of problems on the router or modem which would make sense considering that for the entire day before everything worked perfectly fine.
I'm no Networking expert, trying to get there taking school ATM, but I'm no noob either. I have setup their network and had it working perfectly fine before, so it makes me wonder if its a problem with the router or what? I just don't know what to think of it?

So I guess my question is has anyone experienced this sort of trouble with a scenario like this? I have read that this brand and version of router has had its share of QA issues according to people on forums, but the router seems to be working fine and so I just don't know where to look or what to do about it.
I want to mention also that I have performed a full reset to the defaull config. No other settings on the router have been changed, and I have confirmed that the modem is working okay.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated..

Scooby,

I've been researching using the Netgear 538s in a similar fashion. I'm no expert either, but here are some things that may be causing a problem:

1. Static IPs: For each location, you must have either static IPs or registered domains.

2. Internet connection: There may be a problem with one of the internet connections dropping or resetting overnight.

Both of these are semi-educated guesses. Hopefully someone on the forum with more expertise can chime in.

Please post an update with the solution,
Todd
