1 edit | [Rant] It's OCTOBABBLE! Yet more OT silliness and hijinx!
Achtung, y'all! OCTOBABBLE is the eighth installment of The Genuine, Official OT Thread. This is all about having fun, being silly, making friends and razzing them. (Check out »[Rant] SEVEN UP! Refreshing, Bubbly, Natural OT Goofiness! in case you have no idea what this is all about).
The only rules are: any attempt at being really serious will be quickly derailed; no flaming or fighting; no political or religious debates; and absolutely no posting or linking NWS material.
Let the mayhem begin! -- There is no giant fur-bearing trout. |

Abandon your cars as soon as you have bought all the milk, bread, and toilet paper you can carry so you can get the best spots at ramps and interchanges. Hey! It says you're in Albuquerque! Don't try muscling-in on sympathy for our great nation's capital! Come up with something lamentable or woeful of your own we should feel sorry for you. No, being in NM doesn't count by itself. -- There is no giant fur-bearing trout. |

| reply to DC DSL Here comes the civilization-ending snow...just hitting the Beltway.
If you haven't already abandoned your car, it's too late for prime highway locations. However, there are many good places on local streets, especially near major intersections.
Word has it that most markets only have bread that children and most 20-somethings won't eat because it's the real deal: crusty and/or nutritious. Safeway and Giant do have several loaves of Wonder left, but won't say at which stores: people will just have to have a treasure hunt to find them.
If you are low on booze, you're SOL unless you can make it down to Charles County, where liquor sales are allowed on Sunday. However, since the storm is moving up from the south, you probably won't make it back...and there are booze gnomes in those parts. -- There is no giant fur-bearing trout. |
