3 HD Streams

I have a feeling this isn't happening soon. There was an interview with the AT&T cto towards the end of ladt year who said something along the lines of "nobody complains about not having 3HD". It seemed a bit like he was backpeddaling on earlier 3HD promises. Perhaps people ARE complaining about the HD picture quality which might give them cause to rethink a plan that would result in cutting the bandwith per stream.

There are posts over at uverseusers.com that this is coming really really really really really soon, like this weekend...

whats the big deal with HD streams? I read a big post earlier talking about people wanting 2HD/2SD and have no idea what they are talking about.

Yeah, new installs were cut off this afternoon, and will be resumed sometime Monday. All as part of a new upgrade going thru this weekend.

I have no more data as to what all is included in this release, but there are some rumors being thrown around over at uverseusers.com, and 3 HD is one of them, as well as more function of WHDVR.

We'll see Monday.

Well, it's 11:30AM on Sunday, and I'm not seeing anything different. No sign of any updates coming through at 5AM.

Are you guys seeing something I've missed?

If I remember correctly, the last time the system release was completed, the update that went with it came a few weeks later. The Release that enabled WHDVR Stage One was release a few weeks before WHDVR itself, and before that, the release that made 2 HD possible was out before 2 HD was made available.

Get the system to support it up & going first, then enable the extra features.

If it's coming, it will be sometime Mon morning, that's when ATT has been doing things lately.

I would rather they fix the current HD Streaming technology 1st instead of adding a 3rd substandard HD Stream.

The Macro-blocking on the HD channels is awful to say the least.

Not much of that here, I'd say something's wrong somewhere, my HD PQ is very very good. I sit 3x diagonal distance from my 42" Panasonic plasma to qualify anything PQ from me, if anyone sits much closer, I say they are too close and will see many more compression artifacts on Uverse. ;

Depends. If AT&T is willing to increase bandwidth per user to get a 3rd HD stream -- ie let your modem sync at a rate faster than 25 Mbps.

Started seeing a 3rd HD stream after this weekend here. Apparently we are on some trail higher provision after an att rep call offered that we qualified for. I also noticed better HD quality and no more compression.

Where is here?

Checked my system is still limited to 2 HD streams. Hope to get a 3rd soon. My wife hates it when she has to watch Idol in standard def
