[video] Robbery Fail [Caught On Surveillance Camera]

Video from a surveillance camera at an Arizona home shows a car pull up, several men get out and allegedly try to break in. Police say the victim was home and shot at the armed men. The suspects fled but police later found their car

i am not sure that was a robbery attempt. i think they were going to kill someone in that house and he/she made the first move. you pull up to the house in your car to rob it. i don't think so.

Or maybe it was home invasion-type robbery attempt.

that is possible too. that guy with the automatic weapon did not fire back. if i was going there to kill someone i probably would have fired back when i got the chance.

I wonder what the chances are of the intended victim being an unsavory character him or herself? Having multiple video cameras trained on the entrance makes me think they want a heads up when LEOs are heading for the door.

Maybe a house jacking.

Are you talking about the guy with the rifle? It's not necessarily an automatic weapon. It's more likely a semi-auto AR-15 or one of the many variants.
Besides, being shot at probably made them soil their pants, as well as derailing their (short) trains of thought.

How come you can hear everything but voice? You can hear the gun shots, the car, etc but no voice? Am I to believe they didn't make any sound?

Between that, and the fact that this took place in broad daylight, and that the 'victim' had multiple cameras pointing at the driveway.

Seems a bit fishy.

Where else would you put video cameras?
AFTER my house was burglarized while I was at work, I installed cameras outside, pointed at front and rear doors, conspicuously placed so that anyone approaching the house would see them. My alarm system had been broken, and I also had it fixed, too.
