bsdaiwa : I have a SMCFS5 switch and the power supply died. I am in a location that does not allow me to purchase a replacement form SMC and I was wondering if I could use one that I had from another device. The proper unit is a 6VDC 1000ma but the only ones that I have access to are 5VDC 400ma or 5VDC 2.0A. Both of these units have plugs that are the correct size and the correct placement of positive and negative.
Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks
