By any chance do you have a Westell 6100 or Westell VersaLink 327W?
Many users with the Westell 6100 modem have reported "loss of sync" issues during lightning storms. The Westell VersaLink 327W is basically a Westell 6100 with a four port Ethernet switch and wireless access point. I have heard a few people with the Westell VersaLink 327W report the same problem with lightning.
People with the Westell 6100 that have "loss of sync" issues during lightning storms have reported that switching to another modem such as the Netopia 2241N-006, 2210-02-1006, 3347NWG-006, 3347-02-1006 or the 2Wire 2701HG-B makes the problems go away.
Not all people that have a Westell 6100 have this problem. It seems that the stars have to be aligned just right for it to happen but the problem disappears after swapping the modem for a different make and model. |
