Welcome to BBR.

Need to check if new cable is telephone or Cable. That will narrow things down a little.

Unfortunately that is about all you will be able to figure out until the company announces. Might be a First-Mile customer upgrade but it may just as well be some sort of trunk cable linking internal resources.

Take some pictures and post them here. Never hurts to strike up a conversation with one of the installer to see what you can learn.
