Speeding up deployment is not an option these days due to the fact that Verizon is under the thumb of the stockholder.
Neighbor's brother is a FIOS installer. I just asked him last week how much deployment has slowed recently and he just laughed. They've got more work than they can handle. It seems they really are rolling it out as fast as they can.
