Do you have some basis in fact to merit that slanderous accusation against our Prime Minister?

You mean the news that Parliament has been suspended because Quebec & Ontario tried to install an un-elected government before the Conservatives even put forward a budget?

All the seats in the coalition were elected in, right?

Yes they were, but if they were going to form that coalition which Dion said they absolutely were not going to do, then they should have made that deal before the election so Canadians could vote on it, rather than attempt this coup d'état after the fact.

The Liberal voters voted for the Liberals
The NDP voters voted for the NDP
The Bloc voters voted for the bloc

...none of those voters voted for this coalition.

Ah you mean exactly like harper did in 2004?

Actually Harper's 2004 proposed agreement with the Bloc didn't go anywhere because Harper wouldn't give the Bloc everything they wanted. Apparently Dion didn't have that problem.

It won't have any effect on the decision. The CRTC had stated that there wasn't any discrimination because Bell was throttling their own clients just as much as they were throttling the clients of the third-party ISP providers.

I believe we only have two options at this stage. Pursue the matter with the CRTC in the upcoming consultation, or pursue the matter in the courts which has the power to overrule the CRTC.

Courts are the only hope the crtc is far to corrupt.

unfortunately the CAIP lacks the $$$ to challenge Bell the way they need to be challenged

ie a scorched earth policy of CONSTANT court challenges based on shifting criteria. They should also sue the CRTC and the fed for failing to live up to their statutory obligations.

Not saying they would win, but it could well cause consternation and prevent Bell from seeking another suitor - they don't like a lot of lawsuits.

I favor a $5 monthly 'fee' or 'donation' from teksavvy customers to fund such a war chest (on top of regular bill). Other CAIP customers might choose to do the same.

the resulting legal team should get Geist and the senior class from various law schools involved.

It's the one way to beat someone like Bell with an Army of billable law associates !
