In addition to what Red said, there's a lot more information one would need to determine your potential transfer rate. Is this dedicated Internet access, or do you share bandwidth with other users at some point? What hardware does your machine have, are you saving the data, or just writing to a buffer of some sort for a test, etc.

480mb/s isn't too bad, considering most situations.
