I've attached the utility I used to put my cam in and out of debug mode.
Unfortunately the program requires Windows (I had to dig up an old laptop just to run it!)
The password to install it is "penta-club.ru" (which is the russian site where the file was obtained from)
The debug menu adds some unctions to the k10d camera's menus. Use google to find exactly what you can tweak here. In general, you should likely only be concerned with the "AF Test" option.
Of note, if you go hunting for this utility elsewhere, you are more likely to stumble on the Russian language version. The version posted here is fully translated into English.
Disclaimer: I provide no warranty as to the merchantability or fitness of this program for any purpose. I can honestly say that it worked for me, but your results may be different. This program was put together by people unknown to me, and while I did not detect any virus or malware in it, it still should be treated as unknown. According to reports I have read, this utility also works with the k100d Super camera, but only to put the cam IN debug mode, not take it out. For that, there is a manual key combination you can press. I do not have that info, as I only needed this for my k10d, which the program was claimed to work with by those I obtained it from. So again, I am NOT responsible for any damage running this program may cause, use it entirely at your own risk. RUNNING THIS PROGRAM MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. -- for all your Linux questions |
