ex Adelphia is reshuffling their QAM's in preparation for SDV. iGuide A25 can support SDV though they'll upgrade to A28 eventually. I believe ex Adelphia has SDV so they can now catch up with San Diego proper. |

More virtual video store channels. If you like watching old movies on demand in SD at a discounted price than this is for you. I now have a 3270 but I still have my 8300HDC. I have a new "Mega Charged" with standard Internet, 4 digital packs minus Spanish pack, HD VIP, all premiums, 2 HD-DVR's, and 2 HD-STB's for less than what I paid for now. This is with 1 HD-DVR, HBO, Cinemax, and 2 HD-STB's. It's a nice deal for me.

So is the Samsung HD DVR actually out or is it still in the testing phase? Last time I call time warner they told me it's out and I can just go pick it up in local office. When I got there they told me it won't be out until around Dec and that they don't even use the HD DVR. Hate to waste gas and time if I don't have to. |

I then went to the office and try to pick it out but the customer service rep there told me it will be dec or next year for the Samsung HD DVR. And I wasted about an hour waiting in line that's why I was asking if it's actually out or not before I try again. BTW I went to the one in Clairemont Drive |

Centric is owned by BET.
The 3270 can't swap tuners and it lacks PIP. I don't have it on the main TV so it's fine with me. I guess you can live without it. The 3270 is still an awesome DVR. I still prefer it over the SA DVR's. Yes SA has made some good products but it's time for TWC to move on. |

| That clarifies it. C-Span 2, ShopNBC, and CMT weren't moved to the digital intro tier or were they? I still would like to see an HD lineup closer to the NY systems. They get the good stuff while San Diego gets the lame ones. I guess they think we aren't good enough for them. Maybe next time. We're at 70 to 75. Maybe they're shooting for 100 by the end of this year but I doubt it. Oh well. |

Had a short SDV tiling issue but it keeps getting fixed. San Diego uses Cisco SDV which probably as good as eliminating the expanded basic tier. I wished they deployed cheap DTA's and eliminate the expanded basic tier so that we could have more HD channels and not have to rely on SDV. |

North County is getting SDV starting next month according to the legal notice. Tivo, Moxi, and UDCP PC owners take note. Motorola Tuning resolvers will be handed out for those customers. The Moto TA is perfect for the Ceton CableCard tuner as it can do more than 2 streams. The Moto TA is also quite small so it's very sleek and compact. It's about the size of a cable modem. |

This is what the legal notice is now saying for North County customers. Sony DHG DVR owners are SOL unless you can get Sony to integrate native TA support. It has a USB port but Sony doesn't think it's viable. CableCard TV users will probably get a defeatured STB that can do HD and SDV but none of the other digital cable features.
