| [Equipment] Counterfeit Linksys PAP2 There have been more than a few hundreds or perhaps thousands of Linksys PAP2T, PAP2T-NA, PAP2 or sometimes listed as UNLOCKED FOREVER, STAY UNLOCK PAP2 ATA.
The fact is that these ATAs are QUESTIONABLE - in fact VERY QUESTIONABLE.
Here's how to spot a questionable PAP2T.
1- The sellers are from ASIA, I wont say the name of seller, but you should know what country this is from.
2- The sellers cannot speak good English. Obviously they are NOT from the US.
3- The PAP2T label, will FADE easily, after a few times (5-6 times) rubbing it with your thumb.
4- the MAC address is ILLEGITIMATE, if you go search this on google for a MAC address identifying tool, you will see that the questionable PAP2 shows company name other than Cisco or Linksys.

5- The price is really cheap. Although we noticed that quite a few of them try to bring up the price to about 20%-25% cheaper than real PAP2T products, to somehow bring them close to real prices.
6- When you use the PAP2, it will most likely function normally, touch the box in a few minutes and you will feel it gets a bit too hot to the touch.

Check your model
7- The questionable PAP2 breaks easily, you will see the RED lights blinking all of sudden. You try to power cycle and it will come back to life. So lucky buyers reported they have it for more than 6 months.. Lucky you if you have one of this and still working unit.
