We don't have the Blast Tier yet either, the 8000/2000 tier w/Powerboost (Performance Plus) is the fastest currently available to us.

| Being upgraded from what to what?
We are aware the network is/is being upgraded in the Pacific NW, but haven't seen anything official about being able to order a DOCSIS 3.0 tier upgrade yet to my knowledge.
If the rep meant you are now upgraded from the 6/1 tier to the 12/2 tier, you should be able to see that by downloading a large file (or a couple simultaneously) from a fast site and checking the speed after you get past the initial PowerBoost. You may need to tweak the OS a bit, however, if you are running a Windows OS other than Vista.

| Apparently there is no upgrade and it must have just been a regular maintenance outage and the tech didint know what he was talking about. Its coming tho, i feel it.
My current tier is 8Mb. SO it would go to 16Mb which is considered docsis 3 or not? |

| Yes, 8/1 or 8/2 will go to 16/2 (free upgrade). That doesn't not require a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I have that now with a Linksys modem. I got it before they upgraded us here to DOCSIS 2.0. It is definitely better with D2, but wasn't bad with D1.1.

That date is very close to the December 18th date a little bird whispered in my ear several weeks ago. The word then was that the network should be ready by then, but that didn't mean marketing would be, so it appears this is fairly well coordinated and on track.

| along the lines of D3 in washington, my modem went offline last night and required a full all equipment powercycle to give a new IP in a different range (after 2 years with my old one, I miss it  )
different downstream frequentcy too (SB5100 doesn't show dl channel#)
also getting the wacky wild wide-open (www.WOW) upload and download speeds (avg. 29/9) on the 6/1 plan (I downgraded for a bargain price of $34.99/6 mo, a couple weeks ago, anticipating 12/2)

BUT, I believe what I am seeing is part of the D3 upgrade/process.
having done quite a few tests during the day (not going to bore people with a zillion screen shots  ) I saw wide open, restrict the DL, slight restrict UL, wide open DL restrict UL, wide open, etc.
based on what I saw, this area will have no problem handling traffic, the manual reboot/powercycle will probably cause a few/many compliants. ( my elderly father has not been online yet today (same area) but (would never call me, before messing things up, calling CC, taking a hammer to ANYTHING slightly related( and then call at 5 AM to) ask/tell me to fix it quick) |

No 12/2 Upgrade Yet
According to this here bill from Comcast that I'm holding in my hand, it says, "Great news! Your speed tier has been upgraded! As of 12/22/08, the Performance tier will increase to 12Mbps and the Performance Plus tier will increased to 16Mbps -- all with no price increase."
Yeah... so... it's December 23rd... still no upgrade.

You're the first person I've seen that hasn't gotten the upgrade here in Portland, mine and others I know with Comcast, went live on the 16th.
Though unless you ordered the 22/5 or 50/10 package, this thread is the one we've been requested to use for the other upgrade.
