I have a Qore membership and haven't downloaded this month's or the previous month's episode and I still got an email with a BETA code.
Just got it today.
I wasn't very interested in this game but I might just have to check it out.

I got the beta and played it last night..I'm up to lvl 5. Lvl 6 you unlock your first piece of support equipment.
So far, I'm really loving the coop. 8 player online coop or offline 2 player coop. It's pretty awesome, very challenging and good fun if you have a balanced group that works together. It's been a blast so far and I've come to love the spec op. High damage, unlimited ammo (he drops ammo for team mates and in doing so refills his own ammo). Also, I really love using invisibility as my berserk. I go invisible, run around behind the monsters putting up the energy shield and shoot them in the back.
As for online vs..I've done up to 40 players so far and haven't noticed much lag. There's a little here and there but nothing that ruins the experience. It's good fun, especially if you enjoy large battles. However, I'm more of a coop man than a vs man so I won't be playing this mode as much.
I'm definitely giving it a big thumbs up. The party invite feature works great too. You can invite people from your PSN buddy list and they'll receive a message..and then they can go in-game and join your party from which point you can start a game afterwards. It's a good way to stay with your friends. |

A friend gave me his beta code yesterday. I played for a few matches. Couldn't really get into it. I wasn't a big fan of the first one though.
I'll give co op a try for a bit tonight.
