| Connected to LAN but no activity/internet
Hi, I have a problem with my Desktop PC. My computer is connected to a router via a CAT 5 wire and connects fine but does not there isn't any activity going on and I can't get the internet to work. Everything works fine because the other computer and my laptop gets internet and the wire works also because I tested it and now I am out of ideas. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

join:2008-09-26 | I assume you have checked the lights - and all appears okay? When you connect said cat5 cable - you see green port lights (or yellow depending) and when you disconnect the cable - the lights go out? |
