Subject: Upcoming Honor Items and Honor Reset
As many of you know we will be featuring a new Battleground, a dedicated world PvP zone and all new PvP items in Wrath of the Lich King. In order to make the transition from The Burning Crusade to Wrath of the Lich King flow as smoothly as possible, all accrued honor points will be reset at the launch of the expansion. We do this to ensure select players do not have an unfair advantage at level 80 from stockpiling honor to instantly purchase the newest Wrath of the Lich King PvP rewards. For those with unspent honor points prior to the release of the expansion, we will be offering a few upgrades and special rewards in next content patch solely for purchase via the honor system.
So anyone have any info on this? I am leveling my Priest (at 65 right now) and from what I gather above it means I won't be able to BG some gear for him to get him started (at 70) once 3.0.2 is released? Or am I off base here? |

| I think you'll be fine with 3.0.2. What it's saying is that if you're maxed on bg gear and were hoping to save your points, there will be special items available to buy. But until the release, all the regular bg items will be available.
I could be wrong though. |

You'll be able to BG your butt off and accrue honor points and spend them and live happily up until the expansion launches.
Once the expansion launches, any honor points you had that you didn't spend will be gone.
That's it. =)

I don't think this will deter me from BG on my soon to be 70 Warlock, since I made the toon to play an elite PVP type character.
Just let us Shard our old PVP gear please! That is all I ask! |

Ok thanks for some clarification guys, really appreciate it.
Think part of me was almost hoping I couldn't BG because I am a little tired of it on my rogue, the other half just trying to get some gear to help level a little easier once expansion hits.
Guess I can always go holy and get into groups though huh (that might be a whole diff topic, at what level to switch from shadow to holy/disc since I want to heal  ) |

I'm not a hardcore pvp'er really, that was the goal with my newest 70, but by the time I get geared and ready to run arena seriously its gonna be time to level to 80 
I think there's going to be pve'ers qq'ing if the special rewards are anything they want. |

As you can obtain marks at various levels and not just 70, I believe that you'll be able to keep them. |

I can see not letting us shard the items, because one oculd just farm for the minimum point item, get a Void out of it, and rinse/repeat. Which, of course, would make PvP a viable way to make some cash, and make the hardcore PvPer happy, but I digress.
Just let us do SOMETHING with the hard-earned piece of gear instead of "DELETE"! |

It'd be nice if they reset them once you passed 70, but since the 70 BG and arena will likely taper down in activity once the expansion hits anyways, this doesn't really affect anyone. Twinks will likely have all the BG gear they wanted, and people who enjoy the end game PvP will want to level up.

Does anyone know if thise will affect everyone? I've got a 29 twink mage with every piece of bg gear except the battle standard.
I've managed to save up almost enough honor on him but I don't know if I'll make the rest before the expansion |
