| [Speed] Higher upload PowerBoost? 64QAM? DOCSIS 2.0?
Anyone notice that their upload PowerBoost has more or less doubled?
I used to get 3-3.5mbps for upload PowerBoost.
This morning... 5-6mbps
Last Result: Download Speed: 26736 kbps (3342 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 6291 kbps (786.4 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 24 ms

Have to see when uploading actual files... I'll post a screenie in a few

| Re: [Speed] Higher upload PowerBoost?
Some markets are undergoing tests in preparation for doc 3.0 testing. These markets might see an increase in speeds while the tests are being performed. The tests should be done by Sept 30, 2008. -- CheckSite.us | YourIP.US |

| reply to dadkins Nope, no upload powerboost doubling up north of you here in Mendocino County, just standard Powerbooster. We still don't have Blast! either, and I wonder whether we ever will. |

@telus.net | reply to dadkins Did your upstream modulation change or symbol rate? It's possible your upstream channel has more bandwidth to use now so powerboost is able to boost even higher... |

Looks like maybe a new upstream channel freq.
Even on this wireless laptop - upstream PowerBoost is cookin!

| reply to dadkins That channel ID of 11 is confusing.
Channel IDs say what port of the CMTS you are on in coordination with the MAC Domain.
At least, in the Motorola BSR and the Cisco UBR10k that I have worked with in the past 4 years.
With a channel ID of 11, that means there is at least 12 upstream ports in that MAC domain, which is a huge ratio (I try to go 1:3 or 1:4....1:12 is pretty much oversubscribed IN DOCSIS 1.x
With a channel ID of 11.....does sound like D3.0, as you can make the MAC domains a lot bigger because of the increased downstreams.
Edit:
This is mine, but I am NOT on Comcast, but I know for a fact I am on upstream port #5 of the CMTS.
