I have 2 accounts and I dont know why anymore. I want to stop paying for one of them, is it possible to transfer a toon from one account to another? |

| I was wondering the same thing, and I'm pretty sure you can - I think I saw something on the offical WoW forums about it when I was doing a lot of transferring back and forth. I think maybe if both accounts have the same name and credit card it should be fine, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I'd check the official pages under Paid Transfers to be sure.

Yes it is possible, but you have to be the owner of both accounts. |

| I don't think so, Dlow. I've got my stepsister's account (she no longer plays), and she gave me the pw so I was able to go in and change it, the email addy, address, etc, and enter in a game card. But the "name" of the account still resides in her name, which can't be changed.
I'd like to be able to move the toon over to my main account, but as far as I know it can't be done.  |

Kinda-sorta off-topic (I've been doing this a lot recently it seems) ... I've been "PLing" one of our fellow DSL regular's toons on another account and on a different server from my main, and I've been trying to decide something:
Do I transfer the toon to my realm and on a different account, or transfer it to my existing account and save myself the cash? I'm levelling a Warrior, so I'm half-tempted to keep it on a separate account in case I want to tank and DPS a regular instance one day... But I can't decide.
There, jacking is done, but it's *almost* on topic, right?

Yes, you can transfer toons between accounts as long as both accounts are owned by the same person. Standard $25 fee I believe it was.
DownLow, NO. They will not allow you to change owners. That is selling the account and strictly prohibited.
ErikVKing, if the toon you have been playing is not on an account owned by you, you cannot transfer to your account. |

Yeah, don't even bother asking if you can change ownership somehow. Just by being curious they might keep an eye on your account for any weird logins and account changes.
And yes, just pony up the 25 dollaroos and you're set. Transfer is usually instant these days. |

They don't allow you change owners because they think it helps prevent ebaying/craig listing accounts. It doesn't of course, but that's the reason they don't allow you to do it.
People buy high level toons and think they can transfer them to their own accounts. Doh. They then have to choose between paying for two / three accounts or losing the money they paid for a toon. |
