The lighting isn't good tonight, I'll post some pictures in the late morning / early afternoon. Are flying squirrels native to Connecticut?

I beleive so. I used to see them in very hilly forested sections when i was a kid.

I'm on a hill by a forest, so maybe.

Oh yes for sure. Also does not look like the common red flying squirrel .. but hard to say since his fur is wet. I think there nocturnal also. That's why we never see them out about much.
