I'm personally curious why the "negotiations" are taking so long. Even little mom and pop cable companies carry Center Ice.
This has been going on for over a year now..

| IN-Demand has rights to NHL Center Ice and the other packages. They are owned by cable companies and friendly to cable companies. A cable company just has to make arrangements with In-Demand and they can get whatever of the PPV movies, events and sports packages they like.
Since Verizon is always a competitor to the local cable company, they don't contract through in-demand, they are left to make their own ppv and sports package contracts the same as the dish companies do. |
