I got this game for the Wii and so far I'm really enjoying playing it with the motion controls. At times I keep forgetting that it motion controlled and keep pressing the buttons to attack with the Light Saber and I keep getting hit because I'm not doing anything but dashing around the place, lol. Gotta remember to swing the Light Saber and attack, I've actually got to swing the Wiimote.
Fun to play so far, but I'm not impressed with the graphics. But then again, the enjoyment of playing a game isn't strictly about the graphics, so what it's lacking in cutting edge graphics, it's more than making up for in motion controlled game play.
If you own this game, what are your thoughts so far? -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I only played the prologue on the 360 so far. I am finding it a little annoying the number of times it required a save to move through the level and the camera angles are really funky.
However, as Darth Vader it was pretty cool smashing everything in your path. Graphics on the 360 are nice. I think I will like this game.

I expected teh graphics to be like that of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, not like The Godfather: Blackhand Edition.
Metroid's graphics were lush, smooth, beautiful, and had great shading and aliasing; so it's not about the Wii's graphics not being able to be great. It's about the game developers not programing and doing the graphics as well as teh Wii can process.
Seeing how great Metroid's graphics are, I'm disappointed with Star Wars' graphics because I know they could've been a lot better. The gameplay on teh other hand is fantastic with all the motion controls. -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| Stopped by Gamestop during my lunch break for something unrelated when a guy walked in and the clerks were asking him what he was doing there. It turns out he has been salivating over this game and was at their midnight release so they did not expect to see him again for a few days.
Apparently this guy had gone straight home and beat the game in a single 10 hour session. He was already back at the store for the strategy guide to find anything he might have missed.
Putting aside the mentality of the person involved here it amazes me that a modern major release like this can be beat in just 10 hours when most games have 40 or more hours of game play.
This game is supposed to have a storyline not just be a race to the end. Hopefully there are optional side stories or something that this guys skipped to help give this game some staying power or else this is probably going to be a very disappointing title just for being so short. -- For additional information on this subject please visit your local library. |

I don't know what types of games you normally play, but the average single player game only lasts 6-10 hours. | reply to Brazbit I've read there at two different endings as is typical with Jedi-centric Star Wars games. The dark side ending and the light side ending.
That said, I've played through the prologue and the first level and I'm having fun so far. -- 1010011010 - The Number of the Beast |

(EDIT)
I just called and they have my copy on hold, they just forgot to call me. Nice.

| reply to Alpha Phoenix After playing for a couple hours, I have to say it's an ok game. It is nothing 'spectacular' unless you're just looking for hack n slash and force throwing .
It's a fun game but can be very annoying sometimes. The target lock is very very relaxed and it's easy to grab the wrong person/object. This can cause problems if it's an exploding barrel :/ . The fighting is fun and pretty fast paced I just wish the targeting was better. So far it's enjoyable but not one of those games that I'd rush out to get, I'd say rent it and play it for a few days. From those I know who already beat it, it did not take long to get everything and only took them 1 day lol (they played a lot though).
With no multiplayer etc I don't see much replay value in it, so is it worth paying $60 for? -- HABYA HABYA HABYA TEAR DOWN THE HEMP STALKS EAT UP THE OLD MAN AND WOMAN AND CARRY OFF THE LITTLE GIRL MAY YOU DIE ALONE |

| The wii version is the inferior version but it has more replay value , it's made by a different team so it's a completely different experience.
It doesn't have the great visuals or physics engine the ps3 & 360 versions have obviously. -- My E71 > Your iphone |

| While visually it's not as great as teh others, the motion controls make this game an amazing experience to play I have to say. I've been thoroughly enjoying Lightsaber combat by actually swinging the Wiimote, and using The Force using the Nunchuck.
I played the 2-player battle arena last night with my buddy and we had fun going at it for a while. -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I've been playing the 360 version a bit today and the slowdown is really pathetic. The graphics are nice, but I don't understand why they are causing a slowdown when certain force powers are used. -- Linux Haters Unite! |

At the start, the power Vader has where you "explode" everything around you? It's the one to the right off the force powers menu. I just started the campaign as my real character, but playing Vader on Kashyyyk, even not using force powers, caused a bit of stuttering and texture pop.
Hopefully it won't continue throughout the game. -- Linux Haters Unite! |
