We promised ourselves we would try this at the end of the season.
This is a definite, we are doing it and we just want to see who goes.
Place: - North Fork of Long Island
Date: - October 11 or 25th
Purpose: - Wine tasting (we've gathered some knowledge after last year so we can maximize our "sampling".)
Let me know if you are interested in going. A small group is fine or we can handle the gargantuan groups also.
Transportation from the City is available (we'll get one of the city slickers to drive you). |

While I did have a very good time last autumn at the wineries, I think somewhere else might be in order.
I can make either date - I was planning a trip to Westport sometimes during October anyway. |

why can't these things happen when gas is only 3.50 a gallon?
I'm undecided right now as north fork is a BIT of a haul, but I'll keep the dates open.

You only have to drive so far, we intend to carpool to save on gas and to make it easier to get from place to place, so you could meet up with Phoenix in Queens and ride east with him.

while I appreciate YOU offering someone else's carpool services,  I also don't drive with people who drink AT ALL, and since this is a winery, My guess is that there will be minimal (not none) drinking by MOST.

| Well we are all adults, though we may not act that way.
(See DV8OR & I on the bumper cars from the past two M&G for reference)
I am not a drinker, the glass or two of samples is usually my limit, but I understand your trepidation on the subject.
We can always work out things so that you are comfortable with the driving arrangements, I personally don't want anyone hurt on one of our outings, I could never live with myself. 
On our last outing to the wineries, we were quite good with our consumption of wine, no one IMHO was drinking too much, but that is up to everyone involved as to what they consider too much.
We usually hit a place for "dinner" afterwards, so no one is hitting the highway "half bagged", we also intend to have food this time so there may actually be LESS drinking this time out.

I don't care where we go (as long as I can get a lift if it's far). The 25th might be a problem for me but i'm not sure yet. I've been informed that I might have to go to a rehearsal dinner for my cousins wedding. Of course I'd much rather hang with you people but my parents and cousin aren't presenting me with this option.
Otherwise the 11th is clear for me the 25th is sketchy.
