I have a pre-commercial version of WMWifiRouter (0.91) on my HTC 6800. Aside from the novelty aspect, it's not really very useful for anything. The battery consumption is insane. I prefer to tether over bluetooth using ICS. I only do this occasionally and have never been billed by my service provider. |

| I've managed to get 2-3 hours of solid use on my 6800 and version 1.11. I bought the product because I saw its value and convenience.
If you dim the backlight on you ppc to the minimum run the program you can get close to 3 hours of solid usage. When I bought my phone the guy at the store threw in a car charger, well it turns out that the charger he gave me is powerful enough to charge the phone while Im using it as a wifi router.
BT Tethering is Slower than using the ad-hoc option provided by wmwifirouter. |

| My HTC Mogul (6800) works great with WMWiFiROuter. Need to update to the release version (using a beta right now). At any rate, the connection is very good, and has beaten out my 3G AT&T card on various occasions. Not that I actually pay full retail for the AT&T card
WMWiFiRouter was worth the $22.50ish I paid for it back during the early adopter special. Since I always have my cell phone and all modern laptops have WiFi...well, you get the picture. |
