Indeed, but only if you feel like you must dig in!

Thanks, now I have my DMT back. In v7.35 it's here:

While i think of it, here's a not-so-hidden 'DMT' feature:

It's all there: spectral response, virtually everything...

The resolution is as good as fifteen seconds and all
you need to collect this is a Slax Linux LiveCD with
a spare legacy PC to run it on! Excel or equivalent
can read-back the recorded information or one will
prefer to play with 'DMT3D' for its strange graphics.

More details here:

Enjoy!

On my system DMT worked ok with v6.1.9.6 (without graphs) but then it wouldn't work with v6.2.29.2 (if I remember correctly), and of course it doesn't work with v7.4.3.2. It just won't start, the message "this version is not supported" (or something like that) pops up. That's why I decided to try STMT. I can see others posting DMT screenshots with v7.4.3.2 so it must depend on your hardware, or who knows what.

Hi,

I've tested 'RouterStats-Lite' under Linux/'WinE'
yesterday and i didn't install 'Mono' (the Linux
.NET equivalent). The addition of support for a
specific device isn't impossible since the author
is active but this tool is limited to DownStream
BitRate and SNR Margin curves only. I* can't say
of the 'DMT', 'STMT' and 'OrbMT' authors the same
thing as i tried to contact them all at the start
of the month and i yet have to hear of them, euh...
Well, BoxFan replied once and then never again.

Did you fully explore the possibilities of 'DMT'?

I know i didn't: i just realized recently that it
has a "Record"/"Playback" feature which opens the
door to piggy-back shims, whatever you call those.

German website only mentions .Net v2.0, but who knows, maybe you need v3.5:

Let's hope someone will find another tool that doesn't depend on .Net.

v0.11 Beta 7 crashed too.

Hi,

I don't see 'MicroSoft .NET Framework 3.5' so it might
be what's missing. Like you i've been unable to launch
'STMT' previously (until i changed the Hard-Disk which
caused me to re-install Windows, that is)... Have you
tried 'STMT v0.11 Beta 3' and/or 'STMT v0.11 Beta 7'?

»Re: When did 'DMT' show up on DSL Reports for the 1st time?

I thought there was a chance to discuss directly with
BoxFan - author of 'STMT' - but weeks passed by and
i'm sorry to notice there's no sign of him anywhere so
you won't be able to tell him about problems related to
the .NET environment. I wonder, maybe he'd reply here:

»speedtouchforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=1545

But one must manage with German registration 1st!...

I have tried a few versions of STMT from v0.6 to v0.11_Beta. All of them crash at startup:

All three versions of .Net framework have been installed on the PC from Windows Updates:
