Not meant for long term use

I've used WMWifiRouter on my XV6800. This might be unique to my model, but it's a battery drainer. The charger can't keep up with the abnormal strain of both radio's churning away.

It's great for short term use though.

I used to use this on my XV6700. Very slick and useful.

Then that is a pretty bad design flaw. A charger that can't put out enough juice to keep the phone running non-stop at it's highest power consumption?

If you're charging by USB then I guess that's understandable. But if it's a car charger or wall outlet charger, that's terrible!

It's not that the charger can't keep up it's the fact the both radios being active create excessive heat which stops the charging process thus, draining the battery rather quickly. If I direct the A/C across my phone when I'm in the car it keeps it cool and the car charger has no problem keeping up.

It does not seem to be related to a drain on the battery but a overheat of the unit.

I use my Sprint Mogul for storm chasing, if I place the unit in front of the A/C vent with the back cover off it will stay cool enough to not stop charging.

We have also found leaving the keyboard open and turning the brightness on the screen down helps.

It sucks, but what it takes to make it work.
