You were lied to - it's common. It's only Fiber to the curb right now. The speed you were quoted is correct but most people don't get the full speed. Fiber to the curb IS NOT fiber service. I get fiber to the RT for my DSL service. I guess you could say I have "fiber" service too.

I didn't think they had unbundled from Uverse yet. I think you still have to take the TV service but can (maybe) still cancel that part of it and only keep the DSL.

The $30/mo price you were told is a signup price that only lasts a year probably. I think it's really something like $60/mo.

Uverse... very high compression (less quality than DirectTV or Dish HD) and only 1 HD channel on in your house at anyone time. And no NFL Ticket. No thank you!
