WG111 adapter

Hi im having trouble with my wireless adapter. It detects the network and connects to the internet fine but then drops the connection straight away. I can then re-connect but it will keep dropping. Its getting annoying as I can't be on the internet for more than a few seconds. If any one could help I'd really appreciate it, I've tried downloading new software but that didn't work either.

Is this under Vista? I am having the exact same problem on a new Vista build, been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is happening. I have installed/installed the driver numerous times, tried using native Vista wireless configurator and the Netgear configurator ... exact same problem. This is with a V2 adaptor.

Are you sure it's a software or operating system problem. I had a similar problem with a WG111. The real problem was a cold solder connection from the USB connector to the PC board in the 111. When it got warm, and those units do get warm, it would lose connection. I just opened it up and applied hot soldering iron to the solder joints and the problem was solved.
