Richboro, PA		Audio static_noise on HD channels & DVR

Has anyone noticed a low pitch audio static on the HD channels? Sounds like noise/audio from another channel. This only happens on my HDTV.

 How are you controlling the volume -- via the STB or the TV?

Other info that readers here might find helpful: What brand/model of TV? Which STB? HDMI or component connection? Are you using optical for audio? Are there firmware updates available for your TV?

sounds a lot like your source is turned down too low and your receiver/amp/even tv might be turned up too high.
