| reply to MrBabou Re: Switching from Bell (yes another!) - but is this normal?
I did tell them my cancellation date, but I don't remember giving them a confirmation number. I don't remember them asking me for it though. But all seemed to be in order when I called them a couple of weeks ago (I might have given it to them though, my memory is just not good sometimes).
I just set up my POP3 e-mail account in Gmail, and it works. So maybe I can just change my modem and router and try the connection then? I had to buy a Speedtouch 516 because the Bell modem was a rental. Also I bought a WRT54GL router to load Tomato/MLPPP version on there. |

| The last date of my Bell connection is Sept 10, and my wife called TSI last Friday (Sept 5) to sign up. To our surprise TSI didn't want the cancellation number. Yes, TSI didn't want it - not asked the first time my wife called, and when she called back to tell TSI the cancellation number the girl said it's less than 5 business days from the activation (Sept 11) so they don't need it.
Anyway, I tried the TSI login and it was properly set up. Now I'm keeping my finger crossed as Bell doesn't pull my line card. |
