There are plenty of articles talking about installing Linux on PowerPC Macs: »www.intuitive.com/blog/ubuntu_li···ook.html »seehuhn.de/pages/powerbook it's a macbook g4. and it's ppc. it's about 5 years old. it has a gig of ram in it and i'm not sure about what speed the processor is. i was looking at open suse but i didn't even know that ubuntu had a ppc version. i'll probably download that and give it a go.... i'll keep everyone updated. my biggest goal will to be to get the wireless working....

There is no such thing as a MacBook G4. The name MacBook started when Apple switched to Intel. It's either an iBook or a PowerBook. On the Mac, right below the display it will literally tell you what it is: either iBook or PowerBook.
