  Almost 70
| About to hit 70!
Very Pumped, I am about to hit 70 with my druid. First order of business is to get my Rep PVP gear. I think i am good on HH rep and CE rep. However I know I am going to have to do some work on sha'tah and lower city and keepers of time. Which sucks. Anyone have any suggestions about getting rep for those factions, as well as any thing I need to do right away to get ready for pvp (I think I am going to respec to resto also) .
Let me know ! Thanks! |

| reply to Almost 70 I like getting my PvP stuff via BGs. Well, I guess "like" is actually kind of a strong word for what I feel when I am grinding out AB or AV tokens and honor. I guess I don't really "like" it at all...but what the hey...almost free epix! -- the wheels of your life are slowly falling off |

Painful is the WSG grind...AV is easy, AB isn't so bad, but WSG is long and like watching paint dry when both teams have the other's flag and can't kill the flag carriers.
To this day, I still don't know why they don't fix WSG - set a 15/20 min max, at the end, the team with the most flag caps wins. If it is a tie, both teams get 1 token. -- Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult! |

| reply to Almost 70 yeah, WSG is teh sux0rz. I honestly dont play it EVER. If there is a peice of kit that requires WSG marks, I will just have to live without it. AB and AV are not bad, and EOTS has its moments too. But good idea on the time limit. I have done a WSG (the one that broke me) that honestly took over an hour. So much turtleing, it made me want to poke my eyes out with a corkscrew. And to top it off, when it was finally over, I think I netted about 85 honor. Never again I say! |

| reply to Almost 70 I am currently leveling up a lock and made sure to get my WSG marks in the lower brackets where the alliance win alot more than level 70 bracket. Plan on doing that for AB as well since the level 40s and 50s bracket are better on alliance. then I will just do the AV EOTS brackets through the 60s until 70 when I can collect the 5-6 PVP welfar epics. don't waste time grinding the rep for HH or CE for PVP gear. Grind it for any of the random items/enchants you can get. the merciless gear is much better. |

I'd take a look at what rep you need for the pieces, and get all that you can get. If you're 1/2+ into Revered on the pieces you need, run a few instances/do the quests you haven't done. Getting a 4-piece bonus (at the very least a 2-piece, which for most people will be almost a given by the time you hit 70) will help a ton in BGs/Arena.
Heck, having the PvP stats you need with the rep pieces may even decide a win if you survive seconds/minutes longer, you get that opportune crit to kill a flag runner, etc.
Now, if you have to grind through Honored or through the lower half of Revered, forget about it and use that time to grind honor/tokens.
All my 1/50th of a dollar though. -- "I am Jack's utter lack of surprise." |

| reply to Almost 70 if possible, stop now at 69 and grind out the tokens before hitting 70. doing this with my druid and am finding it MUCH easier now while i'm on the top end gear wise. once you hit 70 you'll be one of the few not in s3-s4-end game raid gear.
actually, in some ways it's a wash. the tokens are easier, but the honor per match is a little lower. and i find myself doing a lot of bg hopping cause the matches start at a slower rate. other then av since your lumped in with all the 70's. |

That is brilliant! Between this and the 'lock pvp thread down a ways, my 64 'lock is going to be kicking some serious butt when she finally hits 70 and pvps her heart out. This is awesome advice and as simple as it seems, the idea would have eluded me. Thanks! |

| I don't mind wsg too much, the weakened flag carrier thing was a good change - but you still run into the occasional 60 min wsg. I've gotten 900 honor from a WSG before - almost always get more honor from killing than from capping. It's also nice that you only need 10 people for a premade - and honestly all you really need is a couple healers, a druid to run the flag and you can usually win with whatever random people you pick up. WSG with no healers = fail. |

| reply to Almost 70 I would just run some BGs (AV, WSG, AB, EoTS) and get your S2 gear. That's what I am doing with my one and only lvl 70, Dwarf Hunter. Do the daily PVP for gold and extra honor. I got my S2 shoulder and gloves in no time considering the amount I can play. Which is only several hours a week. |

I'm doing this as well. My rogue should hit 70 tonight. He has 50K honor and 90+ of all marks already. Just from doing a couple BGs in between leveling bursts. (Taking full advantage of AV weekends too).
I'll hit 70, buy weapons, cash in marks, and fill out with any rep based gear and then start on more BGs in the 70s bracket with semi-decent gear. |
