DMT Test Results
Hi all,

i am not sure why my uploads are so slow. My downloads are fine from what I can tell (3 meg line max). I have done the Speed test at Teksavvy and the uploads are killin me.

Speed Test #56892670 by dslreports.com
Run: 2008-09-04 22:58:06 EST
Download: 3431 (Kbps)
Upload: 142 (Kbps)
In kilobytes per second: 418.9 down 17.4 up
Tested by server: 319 java
User: 2 @ dslreports.com
User's DNS: teksavvy.com
Compared to the average of 112 tests from teksavvy.com:
* download is 17% worse, upload is 77% worse

I did the DMT test and everything on my line seems fine as far as I can see, but then again I am new to this. See attachment...
Any help will be greatly appreciated

SNR 7.5/13

Your on the 4Meg profile, you should be able to do 428kb/sec down and 85kb/sec up.
But you have a few errors on your line.

I think your upload problem is because you have webintercept on.
Log into your modem, and disable it.

I also have low upload speeds (very good download). I checked my modem config and webintercept is set at automatic. What does webintercept do? I might try disabling it, but would like a bit more info. thanks.

I think this is related. Also, i wonder what the following option does:

I've never quite been able to figure out what it's for, but it does improve the upload speeds if you disable it.

Thanks for the help. I verified and Web intercept is already disabled on the modem. it is a speed touch 516 that I bought from Microbytes not Teksavvy. Is there anything else I can check to see why my uploads are so slow or should I ask Teksavvy to veriy my line to see if there is something that coould be doen for my issues on their end?
