Stats on subs who actually use a 3G service, are all over the place. It's hard to get a real read on that. |

If you use GSM (umts) then you are using 3G voice. That is not the same as Cdma (evdo), since evdo does only data. |

In fact all you have to do is check most WM phones: you can select if you want to use WCDMA/UMTS/3G or stick with GSM by default for voice.

Not knowing or caring that they are 3g I don't know what you mean by "lot of people" but it's unlikely - if you list the phones on att.com or tmo.com most are still 2G only...
