| So what has improved so far at Bell?
Aside from the continuing bullshite and constant lies coming out of bell's mouthpieces both in this forum and elsewhere, has anything changed yet?
Is anything truly Better yet?
Can the mouthpieces or users list a few things in order to live up to the marketing hype?

| Bell Internet No longer require contracts to Bundle. Free 2Wire with all service levels. Waived Activation Fee for the past 3-4 months. Saturdays are now eligible for activation dates. 2 business day turn around time for activations if ordered before 3pm. [Now includes wholesale dial tone providers]. Free 1GB USB Keys on activations performed in-store.
Bell HomePhone Waived Activation Fee when bundling. All HomePhone Service packages are eligible to be bundled, even the HomePhone Lite package [Just dial tone]. Secondary lines are down to $9.95 HomePhone Choice is a better deal than adding features a la carte.
Bell TV Free 6141 HD Receiver or 5900 SD Receiver for first 12 months and then 50% off per month for as long as the account stays active if bundled with other services. There are free HD channels now. People who own receivers compared to renting are eligible for bundle discounts. Nimiq2 Upgrade Program that gives free installation to N2 setups for existing customers.
Bell Mobile Existing customers get better hardware pricing, plans, and discounts if they have less than 12 months remaining in their contract. Existing customers can pickup Blackberries/WinCrap Devices mid-contract for peanuts. Pushing All-in-one plans that don't have SAF or e911 charges.
A $59.95 install fee can get all 3 services activated next day if order is completed by 3pm....like paying a premium for overnight shipping.
From an employee perspective it seems that Bell is concentrating more on existing customers and giving them better deals and promotions since the end of Q2 2008. Also, they seem to be providing more bonuses/incentives for their Canadian-based outsourced divisions. -- My employer is in no way responsible for my views/suggestions/posts made in this forum. |

But seriously... I'm waiting to see whats bettER. We all know what he spewed above comes with a hefty early termination fee, being in contracts, and billing/support atrocities that make the Louisiana hurricanes seems pleasant.
Those are just selling points. Its not cheaper than the competition, so don't think that.
WHAT IS bettER? |

| reply to BryceS Its not better. 99% of the spewed crap you mentioned says "if bundled"... Also they increased prices across the board this past year and lowered service levels (ie 60-gigs, throttle, throttle bugs the worm their way out of, outsourced unintelligible support etc)
Not being a troll.
Just want to know, WHAT IS better
All you mentioned were your scripted bell world stuff to lure customers.
but has ANYTHING improved? IS anything BETTER? |

| reply to BryceS I think you'll find what he means is in terms of the actual service and customer service.
For example turning off throttling ... reducing etfs, eliminating etfs, or at least make them proportional to the early termination ... stopping the lying ... getting support you can actually trust to do something instead of saying "yes sir" and nothing happens.
All very well improving the sales of the products ... the products and their support have to get better |

I don't see better service offerings unless you bitch to kevin crull
I don't see better mobile when Bell wants you to pay for spam (unless you bundle and pay for other services)
I won't shoot down each point on you and disillusion you... you're a good guy, I like you and respect what you do.
But I don't see Better, and i'm seriously not being a troll here BryceS.
I'm on an honest hunt here for whats better as advertized by Bell.
But if you want me to I will...
As for your last comment, yeah Bell BETTER be concentrating on their current customers cuz they are leaving in droves! Look at their Q finals. |

| reply to Bell_Abused If you bundle you get free outgoing 250 texts and unlimited incoming texts.
haha.
To be honest it's rare they I have a customer come in and they *only* have one service with their TelCo/CableCo.
The average consumer keeps everything with one company, so bundles are priority. -- My employer is in no way responsible for my views/suggestions/posts made in this forum. |

| reply to Bell_Abused I think what Bell_Abused is getting at is, Bell seems to be only focused on monetary deals/incentives, thinking Joe Customer is only about the money, rather than what is equally, if not more, important "service", "quality of service", "stability", "caring", etc....
Joe Customer is not Account # 20000237766473383373373 but rather is Joe, who has DSL, Phone, long distance and when he calls with a concern is expecting to have answers/help for the monthly money he's paying to get caring, stable service. -- TSI Rocky - TekSavvy Solutions Inc. |

| reply to Bell_Abused I used to work for Bell 8 years ago and let me tell you Bell is not about the customer. Never has and never will be. It is about one thing and that is money. All sales people have very aggressive quotas hence that is the reason for the lies the support/sales give to customers rather than based on call quality and customer service. So if I made my quotas no problems even if a few customers got shafted. But if you had great service and didn't meet the quota than I get shafted. Not only that the whole company is based around the marketing department. So if marketing came out with a campaign and rushed it through the sales people don't even have a clue what the target market and whom it should not be sold to, etc., It was just get it out and we will deal with the problems later. Other communication companies are about training the sales staff first and less projects as long as the top projects are done perfectly. Hence less selling mistakes and better customer service. Bell still hasn't learned this lesson in the 8 years after I have left and so I don't think it will be any time soon you will get bettER service, BUT YOU WILL GET BETTer MARKETING! |
