What are the good money making recipes I should have or what are the important ones. I dont raid but I have some time to farm here and there or Run a dungeon for some?

I have Fiery thats about it.

run Auchenai Crypts and get the Formula: Enchant Boots - Dexterity from Raging Skeletons. its a very much needed enchant. also you might wanna pick up Enchant Gloves - Superior Agility from being exalted with the Keepers of Time.

Those are good ones. I only hawked my wares when I was leveling up enchanting and don't really use it to make money (I just do dailies and make Primal Mooncloth bags for money), though I do respond to trade channel requests.

Judging from the frequency of their "LF enchant" appearances in the trade channel, the potential for profit comes from Mongoose, a rare drop in Kara from the second boss.

The BC +12 Stam enchants are perennial favorites, but probably only for minor tips. Stam to boots drops from priests in mana tombs, and the one for bracers drops from Coilfang Oracles in Steamvaults. A lot of folks favor Boar's Speed to boots, a world drop, and that would probably make you a little more money than the plain old Stam enchant.

Steelweave and Executioner had their moments in the sun, but I don't see them being requested in trade chat that much any more.

I have Cat's Swiftness and Surefooted and make decent tips off of those, but I don't get many requests for them, and as I said I don't stand in Shat hawking enchants.

i got drop of Boar's Speed enchant about a year ago. i sold it for 1200g rather than learning it. one of the best decisions i've made in WoW imo.

the only enchants I have found so far are steelweave and spellsurge. oh and the spellpower to rings? I cant remember. But basically I suck as an enchanter because I dont have any raid drops and the majority of enchants arent worth the mats. I suppose I could try for crusader, but mongoose is out of the question. Anyone know where to get lifestealing?

The auction house seems to drop it every other day on my server.

Seriously though, there are decent enchantments to farm even if you can't raid. And others you can get by grinding out reputation.

Grind out Shatar, Honor Hold or Thrallmar (alliance or horde) and Keepers of Time rep if you can. Also there's a few that drop in Blades Edge and the +12 agility to boots in Crypts. Looking For Group is nasty at times, but it could get you some decent drops if you're lucky.

--edit--

I do feel for you though. I think only engineering comes close to be as difficult when it comes to getting worthwhile patterns if you're guildless, and even that isn't as bad.

In terms of selling enchantments, I know twinks like Fiery as a cheap option. Anything that increases movement speed would be an easy sell too. Twinks are becoming more and more popular now that raiding is winding down, at least it is on my server. (I'm sure you know, but just in case, twinks are low level pvp toons usually created by people with high level characters. They use their high level character to generate the gold to give them the best possible armor, weapons and enchantments and pvp exclusively in the lvl 19, 29, 39 and 49 brackets. Some even pvp at lvl 59 but that's not so common).

Twinks offer a pretty decent market to hawk your wares if you feel like you're stuck at low level enchanting.

haha Forlin yeah I know of twinks. They are the ones who beg nonstop in SW and IF for "uber l337 lewtz so I can PWN"
I just cant stand to buy a recipe when its clearly overpriced, or there is a possibility no matter how small that I can get it myself somehow. anyways, I guess for us anti social WoWers its a little tougher to get the good stuff. I am really looking forward to putting an enchant on a scroll and mailing it to my alts however.

Have you tried being a successful JC without purchasing patterns from the AH?

Oh wait, it cannot be done.

If by successful, you mean "make money", then you can be successful without buying patterns. My Shaman alt has mining & jewelcrafting. Buy 8 stacks of Adamantite Ore @ 27 - 29 gold per stack, Prospect rare gems out, resell the raw gems.

Sometimes I'll go through 2 or 3 stacks with nothing but green gems, then pull out 2 Living Rubies and a Noble Topaz. On my server, raw Living Rubies go for around 70g each while a Noble Topaz is around 50g each.

Is my method as profitable as it could be? Probably not, but then again with every world drop design going for 300g+ (the desirable ones like Teardrop Living Ruby, Glowing Nightseye, and others are well over 800g per design), I turn enough profit just by prospecting.

I don't consider prospecting to be part of the 'successful JC' bit, due to everyone being able to do it and it's entirely based on a RNG.

My personal record?

8 stacks of Adamantite, 4 stacks of Fel Iron.

0 blue gems.

Not many professions actually make gold. Its always the gathering part that does it. On my server those 12 stacks would have sold for between 350 - 500 gold. Fel iron and adamantite sells at 30 - 50g a stack. Eternium for even more.

Your luck with prospecting matches my own. I never waste good ore like that. I do get quite few gems from mining though.

Herbalism is an outstanding money making prof IMO. It will do well in WOTLK as its also used for Inscriptions. I transferred to a new server 6000g from casually gathering and doing the residue daily quest. I plan to get >15,000g for when WOTLK goes live(I estimate Nov timeframe).

My main is Herbalist/Miner. I make about 1500 gold a week gathering. My bank is an enchanter I leveled up just high enough to be able to disenchant Outland gear. Selling the enchanting mats make me another couple of hundred gold. All the gold really helps leveling up my other alts professions. I've already got all the materials for my 63 Mage/Engineer's Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control (48x [Khorium Ore] 64x [Eternium Ore] 26x [Adamantite Ore] 188x [Fel Iron Ore] 81x [Mote of Fire] 22x [Mote of Earth] 8x [Star Wood] 1x [Hula Girl Doll])
