| eBay Listing Removed
Aug 30 I bought an item from ebay. Today I got a email from ebay and PayPal this morning stating that the item listing was removed. This is the first of the email.
Unfortunately, eBay has removed this . All bids or offers on this listing have been canceled. Because the listing was ended, you no longer have any obligation to purchase this item.
This guy had a 2800 power seller and 98.6% rating Does any know what this means. Hopefully it don't mean I lost my money. I did call PayPal and they sent me the directions to file a dispute.

| reply to caddyroger Is the seller still valid? If so, ask them why this happened.
If ebay really removed it, then they should automatically have paypal give your money back. -- Some people are like slinkies - not really good for much. But they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs. |

| reply to caddyroger Something similar happened to me a couple of days ago. I placed a bid on a camcorder, the seller had excellent high feedback.
The auction was 5 days long, into the 3rd day the auction was cancelled.
Not sure why, probably a hacked account, but whatever the reason I'm just glad it was cancelled before I won the auction.
Just be glad you haven't paid anything yet. You haven't right? |

| Contact ebay support immediately and start the LONG process of recovering whatever money you can.
About 6 years ago we got scammed on a $600 item, we got quite a bit of it back from eBay, not sure exactly what percent though.
Good luck! |

| reply to caddyroger Maybe this happened, feebay calls people now after they list an auction and maybe this person just didn't answer the phone. It might have been their cell phone was off or downstairs etc and some overpaid underworked feebay employee didn't like getting an answering machine so they canned the auction. Feebay has become a very restrictive place and it's not always the hackers fault anymore. If the seller can't answer the phone EVERYTIME they list an auction then the seller will have problems.
Have you talked to the seller in detail? Who are they and were do they live? Thats a rhetorical question you don't have to post that info here just something for you to think about. Whenever someone sells a fancy bag or a car stereo anything or a fancy watch or anything else with a big brnad name on it the brand name whines to feebay to cancel the auction even though the brand name sold the seller their stuff to sell on feebay. |

| reply to caddyroger dont worry, if you paid through paypal, and you sent money to a confirmed paypal account, you are protected under paypal's fraud agreement crap... first u need to file a dispute w/ paypal if you dont receive ur item in a specific time... then call paypal up, and ask for your money back... happend to me twice, and twice i got my cash back... |

I would go with most are afraid to give a bad ratting and then get a bad ratting in return.
I often go with the occasional seller with the 100% since I believe they will work harder to keep that 100%. Hasn't let me down yet. Ended up meeting some good people in real life that way.
Edit to add that I avoid the big sellers like the plaque unless the ratting is almost perfect. 99.8 or above |
