| Best Arena (2v2) partner for BM hunter
Sup Everyone
Just wanted to get some opinions, I have a team now with a melee shaman trying to talk him into respec to elemental....
I was thinking of bringing in a 3rd person to bring up are rating I have all s3/s4 armor except shoulders and chicken xbow, and I think I have great stats... almost 11k HP,+1800 RAP,111 HR and 290 resilience
any advice to better myself in arena will be greatly appreciated
almost forgot current rating is a shameful 1510 |

Again what Archivis said. If you can't get a resto druid for a partner, then a discipline priest makes a good second choice. As well as being really tough to kill and awesome healers, they have mana draining abilities and can put out some reasonable dots and cc.
I know I went head to head with my pally partner against a disc priest / shadow priest combo. Both were blood elves. Took us over an hour and a half to kill one, and we only achieved that because the other one dc'd or got bored or just left out of irritation. They'd drain our mana, not enough to stop the pally from healing me, but more than enough to stop me from doing any meaningful damage. We basically canceled each other out. We tried to cc one and kill the other, but somehow always ended up trying to kill the disc priest. 10s isn't enough time, and no CC in arena last longer. |

I've seen some BM Hunter double DPS teams that are tough. Ive seen these setups in the 1900-2000 bracket which is respectable.
Rogue/ BM Hunter
Ret Pally/ HM Hunter

I will try to get a Druid for my 2v2 arena seems like the best partner to have, if not i will settle for a Disc priest
if i go with a double DPS team again will have to go with a rogue thats for sure!!! i hate em in arena
I feel bad but I want to drop my arena partner because i do most of the damage in the match and sometimes even killing both enemies but he gets kited to easily
anyone knows a nice way of telling a guild buddy thats in your arena team hes not cutting it...lol |

In S3 I did my 2's as MM with a resto druid, not sure how that would work as BM. If I was gonna go double DPS as BM I would definitely team with a rogue. Trap Sap and Blind with the rogue opening that's free wtfpwnage time for the hunter to blow his stuff on the stunned target. Its a really underestimated setup and we lost to it a few times as war/druid.
Another plus is its quick games, if your playing 2's with a resto druid get ready for some long games. I would tell your friend straight up this setup just doesn't work, its not like your lying they don't synergize at all in 2's with each other.
Search warcraftmovies.com for a BM hunter and Rogue 2's video I cant remember the name but it was really high rated and the video is fairly recent. Its freakin sweet the stuff they pull off and really entertaining. |

If you want to avoid frustration and do not feel like 30 mins games are what you want, just get another geared BM hunter and you can easily roll to 1700+ or even more.
I did that with similar gear as you have - s3/s4/chicken xbow and other BM hunter had virutaly same gear and spec too and we managed to hit 1700+ at the beginning of s4, so we could get all honor/arena s4 gear except shoulders/weapon.
I quit arena about 1 month ago, so I am not sure how things are now and how many s3/s4 teams roll at 1500-1600 rating, so things might be a bit different, but still this spec/combo is really fun/games are quick and it is for sure viable to get to 1700+.
The key is to not force yourself to something you do not like/feel like playing. Even if I had a choice for full s3/s4 druid I would not play with one simpley becasue games with druid are boring and way tooo long and not worth the effort - just my opinion. |

The word is definitely out on the resto drood / warrior combo tho. Trying to start arena now, don't do what I did and go in too soon. Going up against that combo ended in short, sharp death almost every time. I don't think I'll attempt arena in greens and blues again. 
Oh well another week and I'll have a full set of welfares and my first piece of S4. At least we didn't lose EVERY match, there's always someone worse than you |

| I'm no expert on hunters in arena - as a warrior I find 99.9% of them to be a joke to take out. However I have had some trouble with priest/hunter combos when they get a lot of mana draining in on my druid. Check out arenajunkies.com I'm sure they have some excellent info for you. But yes, resto druids fit into just about any combo well. |
