Ah, some old familiar faces here.

I dunno what they were thinking. Because I fly for a living, and used to run boats in the Keys, it's assumed I have some weather smarts. They didn't allow for the ravages of alzheimers though.

Thanks for the welcome, folks. In all seriousness, weather is a fascinating topic that never gets old, IMO. When I fly, it is a primary concern and can never be ignored.

Yeah, about $7775 before installation. It's a multi-function display, with a weather radar depiction selected at the time of the photo. That price doesn't include the actual radar unit.

 That's true, but to those who've never worked on or flown them, it might be a little hard to discern.
