The toll increase, approved back in July, means drivers paying cash will now owe $6 instead of $5. Drivers using the electronic payment system, or FasTrak, will pay $5 instead of $4. |

Petaluma to SF via GGB - $6/$5 FT Petaluma to SF via BB - $4/$4 FT + extra $2 gas for extra 10 miles of travel @ 20mpg @ $4.00/gal
Same price!
It'll actually cost $1 less via GGB via FT. |

| reply to ninjatutle Hopefully soon, those of us on the North Coast will have a better way to get to the bay, SMART. If you live in Sonoma or Marin County, and for the future of this area, you should seriously consider voting yes on Measure Q in November It has overwhelming support, so it's looking good. »www.sonomamarintrain.org/ »www.smarttrain2008.org/ I would vote on it, but being a resident of Mendocino County I don't think they'd let me
When we go to the Bay, we try to use the GGF at Larkspur, then take BART, MUNI and Caltrain when we get to the Ferry Terminal. With SMART, instead of a 100 mile drive from Redwood Valley to Larkspur, we can just drive 35 miles to Cloverdale, and catch the train to the ferry in Larkspur Driving in the Bay Area is a pain, in fact, the traffic mess starts in Windsor and goes south from there, and parking, even worse, so this can't come too soon. -- »www.amtrak.com »www.amtrakcalifornia.com »www.narprail.org »www.freighrailworks.org »www.up.com »www.bnsf.com »www.northcoastrailroad.org |
