Firefox and eLinks (and everything else) works fine, just not Konqueror. |

@teksavvy.com | I have never been able to get Konqueror to work. Is there something I need to set ? Is there a place to check ?
Can I download Firefox (need location please) to a disc via Windows and then enter Linux Kubuntu to install Firefox Browser ? |

Can I download Firefox (need location please) to a disc via Windows and then enter Linux Kubuntu to install Firefox Browser ? Just install firefox via Synaptic. Actually, does FF not get installed by default on Kubuntu? If you can install via synaptic then your internet is set up fine. -- The irony of common sense, it is not that common I cannot deny anything I did not say |

@teksavvy.com | "Synaptic" doesn't show up in a search. Browser default is Konqueror. "Firefox" doesn't show up in a search. Need specific, detailed help please since this is all NEW to me. |

| reply to donoreo Firefox search unsuccessful. Adept Manager only shows Konqueror and it is greyed out ... can I conclude that installation was incomplete ? Should I make a new disc and re-try Kubuntu installation ? My computer is now partitioned 50/50 with Vista and Kubuntu. Will the NEW Kubuntu disc replace the first disc's data or will it now create a third partition ? |

| reply to lisa2008 Your install sounds like it's either an old version or something went wrong during the install.

That's the current release and what you should be installing. |
