[SNOW] It's getting cooler out...

I just wanted to let everyone know that my wife and I were up in Southern Vermont this weekend and the leaves are starting to change.

Here's to hoping the rumor that Mt. Snow will open 10/31 comes true.

Here's hoping the white slop stays up there where it belongs!

I agree. Hey, maybe if we think real hard we can stop the snow! No snow! No snow! No snow!...

Monday we rode up over Music Mountain, Cream Hill, past Mohawk, and somehow ended up at Bantam lake, back roads all the way. Saw a few red & yeller trees going that way. I'm camping at the Finger Lakes in two weeks, so maybe after that snow would be OK.

OT time -- I'm back to caretaking at a place with around a hundred Locust trees. For those wondering why I say Locust trees, Locust trees make willows look like beginners when it comes to making a mess. The home owners bought a brand new Huskqy back pack blower to keep up, and not a moment to soon. 15 minutes after I blew the Locust leaves off the tennis court, there were 200+ Locust leaves back on it. I cleared a few hundred feet of rain gutters with a long extension pipe & elbow last Friday. Tuesday they were again full of Locust leaves. Job security!

Even more OT - I can't look at a back pack blower without thinking of Bill Murray in Caddyshack.

As much as I dislike winter/snow, I think that after our ribbing for the last couple of years Glenn deserves some fluffy stuff. And, many predict it to be the case this year...

I actually hope we get some snow this year. I mean it is the Northeast and snow is expected here. We haven't had much the last couple of years, or it rains right after. I know everyone will hate me for saying that :P but if we didn't like snow we would move south

Vermont had one it's snowiest winters on record last season. Here in CT, a lot of the storms missed us or we got that transitional snow to mix crapola.

Maybe some day the Mrs and I will get a small little cabin up there to visit on the weekend and ski....and take pics of the all the snow to post here. My goal is to recreate the famous Grumpy posted pic of that guy standing on snow next to the top of a telephone pole.

If this area has to get any slop, hopefully it will be while I am down South for vacation. That would be a win-win situation. The slop lovers would get their precious white crap, and i won't have to deal with it.

I can see where this is going, but even I know that no one would dare post "snow pics"in September.
