| Yes, by the time it gets to us it will likely be just a great drenching of rain and little else. Hanna is currently a tropical storm after briefly reaching hurricane status and appears to be forecast to reach only Category 2 status before striking land. In addition there appears to be a strong cold front sweeping through the upper midwest that, if it speeds up, may sweep the remnants of Hanna out to sea before it can reach us.

I've been cutting at around 4" all Summer with great results, except for the last time (2 weeks ago?) when I had the mower low after cutting the elderly neighbor's yard. The forecast called for rain, so I cut ours low too. Turns out it didn't rain, and the lawn suffered for my mistake. A good day's drench would be good. |
