| [ BC] Epic Mount Funding, The right way or go for China?
Hello, I was hoping for a little help from this forum. I am a Tailor so most of my income is from bags, I currently farm the voidspawn from nagrand, make bags and sell or disenchant everything else. I have 1100 gold. I have leveled up on quests from 60-70 so i doubt there is to much questing left to do. My Co-workers have just took the easy route and paied 80 bucks and now all have epic flyers. Im trying to do it the right way but i do have a family so farming 24/7 to get the cash isnt an option.
Any suggestions here. Someone said to do the Daily quests instead of grinidng for cloth and droppables but I wouldnt even know where to start? |

| do the shattered sun daily quests. You can make 140G in about 1 hour or less every day just doing the dailies that are on the aisle of quel'danas. There are a lot more dailies you can do, but those are the quickest and easiest since they are all in one spot. Then you will also get several stacks of netherweave every time and a few assorted greens. |

First of all, there is no need to have an epic flying mount just cause your friends do. Unless your out questing with friends and moving around alot, but you said you did most quests already. As for money, dailies arent the best cash source in game but it is a source of constant steady cash. |

If you got gobs of hours to waste then farm gold.
You can also spend better time farming primal fires over by doom lord then shadow since the drop rate is much much better.

Purchasing gp is ftl. The easiest way for me to earn the gp I need has been, as noted above, the 10 dailies in Quel'Danas.
Good luck! I LOVE my epic flyers - did that mess on three different toons. (One of which was before the existence of the dailies we have grown so accustomed to... Made my main's gold with quests and the ah.) |

fyi: you're not gonna make much gold being a tailor/enchanter. i was a tailor/enchanter when i first started the game and was until about a year and a half ago. i dropped tailoring and picked up mining. i've been swimming in gold since.
i suggest you drop one of your professions and get a gathering profession, i.e. mining, skinning, or herbalism.

Another nice thing about the SSO dailies is that you will occasionally get a Badge of Justice as part of your reward. I have two characters exalted with SSO and between them I got 5 BoJs from quests.

Ok Can you help me out I cant say I have ever been to this Area, Did i miss this area in the Outlands? Is there an obscene group quest you have to do to start doing these like the Netherwing Faction One?
Yeah the work people i play with all have the faster mount which does suck as we almost always group together a few nights a week after the family is sleeping. |

haha, theres a portal to the Isle of Queldanas in shatt city. Or you can fly there from Ironforge. the majority of the dailies or on the island, it doesnt take long to do most of them, though during peak times the area can be a bit overfarmed, but it seems like the mobs have an alarming respawn rate, almost annoyingly so. have at it, show no mercy! |

If you want to do the dailys, there is a simple path.
Take the port to Quel'Danas in Shatt. Do all the dailys on the island. One of them gives you a scroll for a free port back to Shatt. Make sure you have Maintaining the Sunwell Portal, Ata'mal Armaments, and Rediscovering Your Roots.
Pick up the dailys from the guys in Shatt. Two of them, 3 if you're a miner / skinner / herbalist.
Fly to Nagrand. Do The Multiphase Survey.
Fly to Blades Edge. Do Maintaining the Sunwell Portal.
Fly south to Hellfire through the nether. Pick up and do Blast the Gateway , Blood for Blood.
Fly to Shadowmoon, do Ata'mal Armaments.
Fly to Terokkar, do Rediscovering Your Roots.
Fly to Shatt. Turn in what you have there, port back to Quel'Danas and turn in the rest.
Personally, I only do the ones on Quel'Danas. You can pound those out in an hour or so. Doing the entire Outland cycle can take another 2 hours or so depending on a few things. It's worth it if you're working on rep, it's 1850 for those, 2100 if you can do the gathering one.
Frankly, I agree with P Ness. I make enough real $$ that if I was hard up in the game, I'd just buy it. 3 hours of my life doing dailys for a couple hundred gold isn't worth it to me. I'd rather pay someone else for that time. |

The gathering professions still take time to actually gather. I have 3 alchemists and 3 tailors, and I make nearly 100g/day just by using my cooldowns. 6 Primal Mooncloth every 4 days and at least 3 Primal waters is a nice FAST easy way to make money. And on occasion my transmute specialist alchemists will proc extra waters which is even more free money. I haven't farmed gold since my 2nd lvl 60 toon had to buy her epic mount 2 years ago.
And believe me I spend plenty. I currently have about 6k gold laying around, 4 lvl 70s with their epic flyers, and 2 epic geared toons with lots of expensive gems/enchants. I have a max lvl miner, herbalist, and skinner, but i never farm with them. Easier to do a few dailies and buy what I need.
That said, now is a good time to pickup an herbalist. With the new prof coming in WotLK, you will be rich if you farm herbs right now and save them for later. Also, it's more effective to have gathering professions while leveling. |

The fp from if is given automatically.
As for rep to open the dailies? No, no requirements to do them except show up at their doorstep. You gain rep buy doing them quickly and might even be able to buy a couple items from them if you're not already epic'd out from raiding. |

I just found it for the first time yesterday. I clicked on one of the portals in Shatt and I was at this new bright area with super fast respawns. It was crazy trying to find out where things were and having stuff respawn before I was done looting the corpse took a bit to get used to. Not sure I got them all, but I will be going back tonight and doing the quests again. There is another flyover dropping bombs quest that is pretty fun. I can solo all the dailies I found there and don't have what I consider epic instance gear. I am a Lvl 70 NE Hunter with 3 pieces of blue faction gear, some blues I made as a leather worker and 2 purples I got from AV and AB marks turn ins. My weapons are blue, but came for the AH.

Lots of ways to make gold - Blizzard put in Dailies to help stem the gold farmers.
My main is tailor/enchanter and I have another 70 that is Herb/Alchemy.
With my Herbalist - I farmed primal lifes on Starving bog lords. Then once I had 10 primal lifes - sent them to my tailor. Then my tailor bought 1 primal nether - on my server about 50-60g each. Then he made gold spell thread and sold it for about 450-500g. No Cooldown timer.
Just the time it takes to farm 10 primal lifes. With a herbalist that can herb the mob after its dead - it doens't take long. Thats how I funded my 2nd Epic. FYI - need exalted rep with Aldor to get the Golden Spell Thread Pattern.
The 1st Epic - was doing all the quests in Shadowmoon Valley and Netherstorm after I hit 70, since gold was doubled once your 70. Combined with AHing Tailoring stuff like bags and such. |

Aside from the dailies (easy money), are you sure you've done the all the higher level regular quests? On my three 70's there were quite a few I'd not done yet at Blade's Edge and SMV.
It's going to be harder without a gathering profession- it takes quite a while to level up, however.
Don't buy gold. As often as not the gold sellers got the gold from hacked accounts; I'd rather not see people reward them for that and the annoying spamming. |
