 w2207h monitor problem

I can see pixel dots that can be picked up by the eye without looking hard. You know like you can see those dots on TV.I would like to know what this problem is called and if it can be fixed.
Thanks!

It's a stuck or dead pixel which can usually be fixed.

If it is white, it is a hot pixel.
If it is black, it is a dead pixel.
If it is has color, it is a stuck pixel.

I have heard that gentally massage the area around the "question" pixel may cure it though I never had the opportunity to verify.

I used to be indecisive, now I am not sure.

If the monitor is new and there are more than half dozen of them then I would contact the seller about the possibility of getting a replacement. I would not try to fix anything myself unless I had no return options.
