| dpdt switch question
hey guys, by son has some of those cards that play music when u open em. I bought a small project box and put both deals in it. my question is, how do I wire up this switch where I can pull it all the way down and play one song then flip it up to play the other? can this be done? Thanks guys.

| Assuming it is a center off switch you wire one pole to one of the cards, where the card switch would have been. Then use the other pole for the other card wired to the opposite side of the DPDT switch. »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switch
Switch Up - tune 1 Switch center - off Switch Down - tune 2

| All that should be needed is a SPDT center off switch.
But using a DPDT is above. Someday I need to figure out why I can't print to pdf anymore... |

| reply to alphapointe said by alphapointe :Dammit! I told him DPDT. sigh... Must have been an engineer He figured out that a dual/double pole switch would be overkill for this application. A single pole center off switch is all that is needed as long as the rest of the two card circuits are isolated from each other (care must be taken when trying to use a common power source for both cards). -- Got some spare cpu cycles ?
